The mission of the Icelandic Connection is to support Canadians and Americans of Icelandic descent and their communities in disseminating their stories worldwide through the provision of a North American based, not-for-profit literary journal.  The journal publishes histories, narratives, fiction and poetry by and/or about Canadians and Americans from or relating to the Icelandic-North American cultural community.  The topic of your article or poetry should fit the content of the journal.  From time to time the editorial board will solicit articles and poetry from individuals and will also publish issues of the journal on specific geographic, literary or historic themes.

Authors should submit manuscripts electronically directly to the editorial board at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. All documents submitted electronically should be in .doc format.  All correspondence about manuscripts submitted will be sent to the person listed as the corresponding author during the submission process.  Correspondence is primarily by e-mail.  Manuscripts should present original work that is not published or being considered for publication elsewhere, in whole or in part, unless under special circumstances pre-arranged with the editorial board.  The author will be contacted to advise him or her of acceptance of the submission.

The editorial board of the Icelandic Connection may make editorial changes as required but will not make substantive changes in the content of a paper without consultation with the author.  Articles and poetry are prepared for publication by a professional lay-out editor responsible for ensuring that the final printed work is consistent in form and style.
